Willie Harold Cicero was born August 4, 1944, to the late Willie and Dollie Hill Cicero. Six children were born to this union of marriage, which two brothers Bennie Charles Jones and Freddie B. Cicero preceded him in death.
Willie Harold was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion C. M. E. Church, Redland, Texas. He served in numerous capacities in the life of the church, such as building fund chairperson on the Trustee Board, recording steward on the Steward Board and Boys to Men coordinator. His legacy he leaves for our present church family is love, honesty, and truth.
Willie Harold was educated in the Redland School District, and graduated from Brag Morris High School, Lindale Texas.
Willie Harold worked for Kelly Tires for over 25 years.
During his spare time, he would play golf, dominoes, and travel to extravagant places on vacations with family and friends.
Willie Harold during his younger years was the surrogate father to his siblings and family in the absence of their father who passed away. He would father Sheilia Johnson Pettigrew, Ben Wheeler, Texas, who he loved dearly. Later he would marry Vastine Reddic and to this union three wonderful and loving children were born: Vasundra Cicero-Tutt, Tyler, TX, Rex Harold Cicero, Ben Wheeler, Texas and Bernard (Chalondra) Cicero, Dallas, Texas.
In 1982 Willie Harold met and married Eunice Taylor in Dallas, Texas at the house of Eunice’s parents. They enjoyed traveling together, taking care of his mother in her latter years, and being afforded the opportunity to purchase property, which their house now sits on and is called their home. This relationship, friendship and marriage of 41 years was too short; take nothing for granted although knowing that God was on time Sunday, August 27, 2023.
Willie Harold leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Eunice Cicero, daughters Sheilia Johnson Pettigrew (Joe), Redland Community, Vasundra Cicero-Tutt, Tyler, TX, sons: Rex Harold Cicero, Ben Wheeler, Texas and Bernard (Chalondra) Cicero, Dallas, Texas. Also, he inherited god-children Victoria (Tyrone) Bass, Tyrone McDaniel, Wilmer, Texas, Dr. Ramonda “Paulette” Busby, Forney, Texas and Tony (Amy) Widemon, Killeen, Texas. Loving sisters: Romona Fay Williams, Palestine, Texas, Alice M. Widemon, Dallas, Texas, Debra (Arthur) Warren, Ben Wheeler,Texas, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
