In Loving Memory of Nicolas Hernández Leal Sr.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Nicolas Hernández Leal Sr., a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on October 23, 2024. Born on April 9, 1969 in Merida, Yucatan Mexico, he grew up with a zest for life that carried through all his days.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Maria Leal, his ex-wife Marlen Meza, his children: Marleny Almendarez, Nicolas M. Hernandez Jr., Joey Lee Hernandez, and Jerry Rolando Hernandez; his cherished grandchildren: Matthew & Aaron Hall, Madelyn Hernandez, Neo Hernandez, Leo Hernandez & Adrian Torres; and his siblings: Eduardo Hernandez, Maria Elena Gonzales, Isabel Puga & Ricardo Puga.

Nicolas Hernández Leal Sr. was a devoted family man whose joy for life was as vibrant as his spirit. Known to many as a jokester and a man of true kindness, he filled every moment with laughter and love. He was a talented gardener, finding peace in nurturing life around him, and had a special place in his heart for animals, whom he cared for as family. His hardworking hands and boundless generosity left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

For those he loved, no task was too big, no sacrifice too great. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty lives on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and friends who cherished his wisdom, warmth, and sense of humor. Nicolas Hernández Leal Sr. taught us all the power of resilience and compassion, reminding us daily that anything is possible with a full heart.
